Family Beacon is not a counselling, safeguarding or emergency service. These organisations offer direct support.

Immediate danger

If someone is in immediate danger in the UK or a crime is in progress, call 999. For police non-emergencies, call 101. Follow current GOV.UK police contact guidance.

Children and young people

ChildlineFree support for children and young people in the UK. Call 0800 1111 or use the support options on its site. Family LivesSupport and information for parents and families. Its site lists the current helpline, webchat and other contact routes.

Parenting and co-parenting information

National Family MediationInformation about family mediation and ways to find support. Its site lists the current contact number and service details. GingerbreadInformation and resources for single-parent families. Its former helpline closed; use the current website information rather than old phone numbers.

Mediation may not be safe or appropriate in every family situation. Contact a suitable professional or support service for advice about your circumstances.
